As a solemn closing ceremony, the University of Salamanca will confer an Honoris Causa upon His Excellency António Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations , in recognition of his commitment to multilateralism, human dignity and global governance in the service of the common good — values that are directly linked to the legacy of the  500th anniversary of the The School of Salamanca

 

The ceremony will take place in the historic Paraninfo, which has been the venue for the University’s major academic ceremonies for centuries.
